Extend a Paw

Growing up surrounded by two cultures has given me the chance to see the differences between them, and animal welfare is one of them. In the Caribbean, there is much less awareness about the issue than there is here in the U.S. It is why we extend-a-paw to the animals in the island by donating a portion of our proceeds to local, primarily women-run groups that work on animal welfare causes. This is so vital to helping not only the animals, but also to educating the individuals in developing and nurturing respect, kindness and empathy for both animals and people.

The animals in the Caribbean island of the Dominican Republic need our help now! The Government proposed a new law that would allow the hunting of feral dogs and cats. Groups throughout the Dominican Republic are working to fight against this and we can help too by signing the petition at Change.org
